What does this mean?
Since the 1st of September 2022, it has been mandatory to register certain types of Trusts on the HMRC Trust Registration Service. This is the Government’s way of keeping a record of Trusts in the United Kingdom. The Trust Registration Service (TRS) records the beneficial ownership of assets held in Trust.
