Post Nuptial & Separation Agreements

What are Post Nuptial & Separation Agreements?

A Post Nuptial Agreement – also known as a Post Marriage or Civil Partnership Agreement, will stipulate what is to happen to money and assets should a couple Separate, Divorce or Dissolve their Civil Partnership in the future. Having your document drawn up by one of our professionals will ensure that it is compliant, and we encourage both parties to be open and honest with their disclosure of information.

A Separation Agreement shows that you are contemplating separating from your spouse or Civil Partner. It is a written agreement which outlines the terms and typically focuses on money, assets, children and pets.

This type of agreement can often be used where couples wish to trial a separation or, where couples have not been married or in a Civil Partnership long enough to become Divorced or have their Partnership Dissolved.

A Separation Agreement can form part of the documentation needed if the couple later become Divorced or Dissolved.
